OUR STORY
The Idea...
ÀRÀ SKYN is an organic skin and hair care brand created to help you take good care of your body as one of God’s greatest gifts to you. This we do by making clean and effective skin and hair care products from natural organic as well as clinically active ingredients that are healthier for your body.
The idea for ÀRÀ SKYN came in February 2022. I was doing a study of the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 20, where they had just moved to a new location and the king took Sarah as his wife. At this time, Sarah was 89 years old, as it was just before she had Isaac. I knew the story, yet something struck me this time around. I wondered “Why is a king taking an 89-year-old woman as his wife? What was it about her that made him do so?” It occurred to me that she must not have looked her age, so the king had no idea that she was that old, because kings are known to marry young, beautiful women. So, she must have easily passed as a young woman.
I knew there was something there and I asked the Holy Spirit to show me what it was. As I thought more about it, I realized that there were possibly three to four reasons for why Sarah looked young and beautiful at 89 years: healthy meals, exercise, good skincare and their covenant with God.
The Mandate...
The next thing I knew, I said “is this the idea for "ÀRÀ Beauty” because that was the initial name that came to my mind. God later confirmed it would be ÀRÀ SKYN by showing me an image of the logo. It also came that these would be “pro-aging” as opposed to “anti-aging” skin care products to make one look youthful even as they grew older like Sarah did. Hence the tagline ….Sarah's anointing for youthful look.
They would be pro-aging because we're not opposed to growing older as it is a blessing many don’t get to partake of, and with age comes wisdom and experience. However, we want to grow older yet look younger and more graceful as we do.
Considering that there were no advances in science like we have today during Sarah's time, it was obvious they
used natural and organic ingredients and hence the decision to make this an organic skin/hair care line, while leveraging advances in science that we have today. This is particularly needed in our times as skin diseases affect almost a third of the population and many do not consult a physician, but rather use topical treatments.
ÀRÀ SKYN is not just a skin/hair care brand but a ministry. Hence, beyond the transactional value the products bring are the transformation that come along with them.

The Process...
So, I began my research into natural ingredients like plants and fruits that boost skin rejuvenation and treat specific skin issues. Hence, our skincare solutions are designed to be both preventive and curative. Preventive in terms of preventing or slowing the process of certain skin issues, and curative in terms of healing or correcting certain skin issues. We are launching with skincare, with hair care to be added as we grow.
At ÀRÀ SKYN, preserving the environment and giving back are important to us. Hence, our ingredients are clean and sustainably sourced from Africa and other parts of the world, and we use eco-friendly packaging for all products. We will also give back 10% of all profits to charity connected with tacking skin diseases.

Dr. Temitope Alimi has an Environmental Science background and is passionate about developing skincare products that are both effective and gentle. Her approach blends scientific knowledge with a commitment to quality, ensuring that every product is meticulously formulated to enhance your skin’s health and radiance while respecting the environment.
